When you go away for a short weekend break and you are just thinking of taking a small case you want to be able to take clothes that are easy to pack, that don’t crease too much, clothes that are versatile for several different occasions and above all you don’t want to pack too much.

So firstly choose clothes that are made up of viscose because this man made fibre is a material that hardly ever creases and is used for various kind of garments such as blouses, dresses and skirts.
You have two days worth of clothes to take and you will presumably have two evenings out as well.
Well the answer to nearly all the occasions is the versatile trouser suit.
If you were to take a navy blue trouser suit, a pair of jeans, a white skirt and 4 viscose blouses say one in white, another flowered (to include the colour navy and white), and the last in navy and white stripes you should have all you need for any eventuality during the whole weekend.

The first item that springs to mind is a dress, but nothing with zips or buttons, it has to be something that you can just lift off over your head and put it back on in the same way, so it should be made out of either a stretchy t shirt material, or if it’s winter, a loose fitting woollen dress.
Another thing that you could wear would be one of those jump suits, the all in one track suit with a zip right up the front and usually made out of stretchy velvet looking material which is warm and comfortable to wear. Read more »

When you are invited to a cocktail party the first thing to remember is that as you know cocktail parties are a standing up event that can go on for quite some hours and you have to think of your feet. So on this occasion you have to dress from your feet upwards and the first choice is select a comfortable pair of shoes. To be elegant they need to have some sort of a heel, but unless you are used to wearing heels, don’t opt for one that is too high or else your legs are really going to take the strain all evening. Nowadays some high heel shoes have a cushioned pad inside them for the where the ball of your foot goes and this helps quite a bit. Now it’s time to choose between a dress, a trouser suit or a skirt and blouse. Well the easiest is always the little black dress which if very simple you can dress up with accessories or if it’s something intricate like a black lace dress it is probably best left alone as much as possible.
